The 193rd Glider Infantry Regiment was a unit of the 17th Airborne Division that served in the European Theater of World War II, experiencing heavy losses during the Ardennes Campaign. After arriving in England in August 1944, the regiment completed training before deploying to the Continent in the Ardennes and Rhineland Campaigns. The regiment was officially disbanded on March 1, 1945, during a division reorganization, with its remaining personnel absorbed into other units, primarily the 194th Glider Infantry Regiment.
